Enrollment is now open for the following study group dates. The tuition for EACH eleven-session study group is $895.00. This fee is inclusive. There are no additional charges for registration, materials, testing or analysis. Study groups are limited to six students each.

A deposit of $200.00 will reserve a seat for your student in the desired study group, and the remaining $695.00 will be due on the date of the first session. Since space in each group is very limited, it is recommended that you send your deposit as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Parents will receive a progress report after the first four sessions and another report at the end of the study group course. Our staff is always available for questions and updates on the progress of your student during this very important test preparation time. We also welcome calls to the center or a visit, if you wish.

High School Entrance Testing for 8th Graders
2009-2010

Preparation for the SSAT and the HSPT is available in private tutoring sessions starting as soon as it is requested. The SSAT will be given a few times during the school year, and the HSPT will be given on January 30, 2010. Small Study Groups (3 to 6 students each) are also forming fo the HSPT preparation. Groups will meet according to the following schedule:

Preparation for the SAT I and SAT II, PSAT, and ACT covers test-taking techniques, actual timed tests, and assistance in the student's particular weak areas.

Supportive instruction in subjects and grade levels from elementary to junior college assists our students with success in the classroom. After a personal diagnosis, an individual course of study is prescribed to meet each student's needs.

The curriculum in these tutoring sessions assists students with their approach to study, time management, academic motivation, and test-taking techniques while helping each student tailor an appropriate study plan.

A problem in reading comprehension can affect performance in many subject areas. We identify the student's current reading level and provide lessons to bring him/her up to the proper grade level of achievement.

Middle school through adult students can increase their speed in reading while still retaining the necessary comprehension.

We cultivate writing proficiency at all levels, with attention to classroom assignments, research papers, and various forms of written communication.

PSYCHOLOGICAL AND ACADEMIC TESTING

Assessments of intelligence, school readiness, academic achievement and learning disabilities are made by our licensed school psychologist, Dr. Ellen Gertz.

SUMMER TUTORING
We offer a complete summer program for educational enhancement. Summer months may be the opportune time to give your son / daughter the educational edge with which to begin the new school year. Popular subjects for individual tutoring during the summer are speed reading, composition and term paper writing, study skills / time management and college entrance test preparation. Tutoring is also available in any academic area that a student may need for summer school assistance.
